Bank fished in three places along the river from below the Beaver Dam to Parker Bend. Again, the best fishing was upstream from Parker Bend. The bite was excellent and the fish were much larger. For me, they bit on all of the lighter colors except fluorescent orange. There was one other fisherman on the gravel bar near the launch ramp close to Beaver Dam. He was doing OK using chartreuse and pink power bait 'eggs'. He caught one while I was there, but he was getting "a few bites,' as he put it. Parker Bend ramp area was very slow. One can fish downstream from the ramp area now that the water is down some. Access by walking along the bank is now possible. It is worth the walk if you want a chance to catch more fish than at the ramp.Looks like we will be getting some cooler weather beginning today, so what are you waiting for? Grab your gear and 'hit it!' Generation is slated from 4 through 6 PM. The high temperature for today should be 84 degrees F., with westerly winds of 6 MPH. Skies should remain mostly cloudy for the rest of the afternoon.
