This morning, Sam and I fished downstream from Bertrand launch ramp beginning at 8:30 and lasting for about an hour, when our coffee ran out. This was another catch and release day. The bite was much slower than it has been in the past week or so, with a bite happening about every 4 or 5 minutes, depending on the color of power bait used. The baits that did not get a response included white and nymph grape. The two baits that received the quickest bite were garlic and hatchery formula. There were several bank fishermen and one guide boat on the river while we were there. They also were experiencing the slower bite, but seemed to be enjoying the delightful weather. Looks like the day is going to remain that way for the rest of the day. Hope you can get out and enjoy it! There is only one hour of generation scheduled, at 5 PM at 44% of capacity. The weather forecast calls for a high temperature of 81 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with winds from the SE at 4 MPH.
