Began this morning by fishing on the gravel bar next to the launch ramp below the Beaver Dam. The trout were biting about every 2 minutes when I arrived at 7:15, but at 7:45, someone flipped the 'bite' switch to the OFF position. Funny, these trout! Moved to Parker Bend to see if the switch was operating the bite there, too. It was. The fly fishermen who were on scene expressed that they experienced that the same phenomenon that was noted by the other areas along the river. Heck, knowing those rascally trout, the bite most likely resumed immediately after I left to refill my coffee mug. Regardless, the morning was delightfully cool as well as picturesque. There is generation scheduled to begin at 2 PM today and run through 7 PM. The high temperature one can expect for the aftyernoon is 87 degrees F. under partly sunny skies, with southerly winds at 4 MPH. Since there were very few people fishing this morning, more fisher-folk need to get out and help hold down the bank. While you are there, you might just as well catch a few fish!
