Fishing report for 9-13-15
Fished this morning at the gravel bar near the Beaver Dam launch ramp. The trout did not appear to be in the "I'm starving" mode, but they did provide enough action that one was not too bored. They bit on salmon peach, yellow, chunky cheese and hatchery formula. If the fisherman was not in too much of a hurry, fluorescent orange worked. It was nice to see that there was a good crowd of folks fishing on the gravel bank. The morning was bordering on chilly, which was a very pleasant change. Guess we should get used to the idea that before long, heavier fishing clothing will be the order of the day.
The whites and walleye are pretty active in the Beaver area. If you go to try your luck, the water is still a bit high to launch at Beaver, but Holiday Island Marina is not too far from the outlet of Butler Creek. The whites are mostly the larger females. Our advice: Go get 'em!
There is generation scheduled from 1 through 6 PM. The high temp. for today is 74 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies. The winds are from the north at 7 MPH.
