Sam and I fished this morning downstream from the Bertrand launch ramp among a couple of other fishermen. One of them, Peach, has four legs and assisted us in the process of landing fish. We arrived on site about 7:45 and were headed back home at 9 with our limit. The fish were varied in size, ranging from 11 to 12 3/4 inches. With the exception of one trout that Peach clamped onto, we had to toss a few back because they were embarrassingly small. The trout were biting on yellow, spring green, hatchery formula and salmon peach in a fairly quick manner. They also bit on garlic, chartreuse, nymph grape and white, but fairly slowly. Once again, those folks fishing at the launch ramp had a beautiful morning to wait for a fish to bite. Our advice: bring a chair and fish downstream toward Spider Creek. Tomorrow looks like a catch and release day, so the fishing report for that date will cover four points below the Beaver Dam.There is one hour of generation scheduled for 5 PM today at 44% of capacity, The weather today predicts partly cloudy skies with a high temperature of 82 degrees F. with southerly winds of 6 MPH.
