Tom, a friend, and I headed out fishing later than usual, about 11:45 AM. We decided to take chairs and coffee along with ultra-lites and see if the trout were in the biting mood that late in the morning. In order of most desired colors, they bit on garlic, hatchery formula, nymph grape and yellow. The fish were pretty good sized, and they put up a good fight. There were several fishermen at the Bertrand launch ramp location, who were having a hard time catching fish. As I noted in the fishing report yesterday, unless you walk downstream about 100 yards from the ramp, the fishing would be slow. Tom and I limited out between 11:45 AM and 1:05 PM. The bite was not too slow, but it did give us time to sip on our coffee. If you can get an hour or so today, go out and get some trout for supper!Generation is scheduled to be in progress from 4 through 6 PM. The weather forecast calls for a high temperature of 83 degrees F. under partly cloudy skies with winds from the SE at 6 MPH.
