This morning, three of us fished downstream from the ramp at Bertrand, looking for brown trout. We were using heavier rods with six pound test line, number 8 hooks and sculpin for bait. We caught a total of six, but it was a catch and release type of morning, so.... The brown bite slowed a bit after 9 AM, so we packed up and called it a morning. There were a few folks fishing at the ramp when we arrived and they were doing OK on power bait. Since no fish were kept this morning, there may be an afternoon fishing trip in my future. Hope to run into a few of you out there! There is no generation scheduled for today. The weather is predicted to bring us a high temperature of 77 degrees F. under partly sunny skies with southerly winds of 18 MPH. Hang on to your hats and go fish!
