Today, I got a really late start on the fishing. Only had about 45 minutes to 'play,' since a bunch of items around the house needed to be winterized. (Yes, that is coming!) Tried for some trout at the launch ramp area of Bertrand at 2:15. There were a couple of other folks there and they did not have any fish on their stringers. Initially, the bite was pretty much non-existent, but it picked up when I tried fluorescent orange. It improved more with hatchery formula and yellow. Strangely enough, there was no bite on rainbow. Trout! ?? When I first arrived, there were several fly fishermen leaving after what they called a great day. Once again, the olive or black midge with a gold bead paid off. Tomorrow promises to be a day that will be good for fishing, with a high temperature predicted to be in the upper sixties. Hope you can drag yourselves out there! There was no generation today. Tomorrow there is generation scheduled for 7 and 8 AM at 44% of capacity. The weather for tomorrow is predicted to give us a high temperature of 69 degrees F. under sunny skies with southerly winds of 17 MPH, gusting to 31. Hang onto your hats! Be safe and have fun!
