This morning we fished in four different locations from Beaver Dam to Parker Bend.  Began our day at the 'canebreak' and learned that the trout did not care much for lures at 8 AM.  Hmmm?  Moved to the closest fishing location just below the Beaver Dam and found the trout much more receptive to power bait.  They bit on salmon peach and rainbow.  Moved to the gravel bar next to the Beaver Dam launch ramp and found that the fish bit on almost every bait that we used.  The bait that was totally ignored was nymph grape.  Moved to Parker Bend and began fishing about 200 yards downstream from the ramps.  The trout were pretty active and kept us busy.  A couple who were fishing close by landed a nice 19 inch brown trout to add to their healthy stringer of rainbows.  Moved to the ramps and fished there, where we found that the fishing was very slow.  Passed on the info about the activity downstream, but the folks that were there seemed comfortable in their chairs.  Hey, fishing comfortably is important, too. The main thing is to make sure that one has FUN!The generation that was supposed to happen from 7 through 10 AM, did not occur.  Weather forecast for today calls for mostly cloudy skies this morning becoming partly sunny this afternoon, with winds from the SW at 8 MPH.  High temperature for today is expected to reach 78 degrees F. with a low tonight of 60.  Stop just thinking about it, go fish, after all, the clock is ticking!
