Launched at Houseman Access this morning around 6:30 and found the water temperature there to be 51 degrees F., a good temperature for trout. In fact, before all of those aboard could get the lines settled in the water, one trout was coming aboard. Would like to say that we limited before we could get to the area where we wanted to bait fish, but I cannot. The fishing was a bit better than it has been the past few days, but still a little slow. As one can see from the nice stringer of fish in the picture below, everyone was looking forward to a good meal of fried trout this evening. The water temperature immediately down river from Spider Creek Island was 48.4 degrees F. There were many trout around the boat just waiting to bite. The bait color of choice began with rainbow, then changed to orange. It was a great day to be on the water! There is generation at 22% of capacity scheduled for 5 PM only. The same is in line for tomorrow. The weather is expected to bring us afternoon thundershowers today, with winds from the SE at 7 MPH. High temperature today is predicted to reach 81 Degrees F. What a weekend to be out on the water, fishing!
