Launched at Houseman Access this morning about 8:30 and trolled upriver for trout. Ended up with one trout and, believe it or not, a carp that hit on a Rapala CD-5 minnow. Had a few more hits, but none of the fish made it back into the boat. Stopped before the Hwy 62 bridge and fished with bait. The trout liked the Gulp bait, sherbet, for an hour, then decided that yellow power bait was the early lunch favorite. There are many boats out today, so be careful out on the water. Watch for other boats and your wake when you are near or are approaching them. The weather today is fantastic for a day out on the water. There is one hour of generation scheduled for 9 PM at 44% of capacity. The high temperature today is expected to be 81 degrees F., with partly sunny skies. Winds are from the SSW at 7 MPH. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
