Launched at Houseman Access this morning and moved downstream pulling a Rapala minnow and a F-9.  Picked up trout for our 'efforts', but neither caught nor marked walleye.  There were no whites evident in the area.  The water temperature was 53.8 degrees F. at the ramp and as far downstream as we traveled.  Moved upstream and trolled as far as Hwy 62 bridge area; again, only catching trout.  Not that that is a bad thing, but we were 'tasting' walleye.  Met another guide on the river doing the same thing as we were, and he had been experiencing the same results. The trout bite dropped from good to pretty slow after 10 AM.  We did not fish with bait, so we headed in to do chores at the 'ranch'. The morning was absolutely beautiful on the river.  If you missed it, try tomorrow when we should have a carbon copy of this morning, according to Accuweather. The only generation scheduled for today is for this evening at 6 with a 22% of capacity flow. The high temperature is predicted to reach 86 degrees F. with a low tonight of 88.  We should experience partly to mostly sunny skies with winds from the SSW at 14 MPH, gusting to 25.
