Launched at Houseman Access and moved upstream in search of the rainbow. While en route, we noted that there were no large fish detected on the DSI. There have been some walleye active in the early morning and late evening between Houseman and the Hwy 62 bridge. We are thinking about trying for them in the morning, but I digress. The water temperature at Houseman Access was 71.6 degrees F. when we launched. The water temperature at the Hwy 62 bridge was 53. Guess where the trout were? The trolling bite was not too great, but the bait bite was pretty good, if a little slow. The trout bit on yellow, pink, and orange. Rainbow was not received with open mouths. We had a great morning enjoying the fishing and the beautiful White River! The generation schedule calls for one hour of generation at 5 PM at 22% of capacity. The weather prediction indicates a high temperature of 83 degrees F. under partly cloudy skies with winds from the SSE at 11 MPH, gusting to 21. Be careful and have fun!
