Began fishing this morning at 6:15 at Parker Bend. Decided to use a Colorado gold/silver, 1/4 ounce spoon with a refurbished Daiwa light action rod. Landed 3 trout within 15 minutes and, because the area was beginning to get crowded, closed up shop there. Moved up river toward Beaver Dam, where the fog shrouded the river and part of the parking lot. Switched to power bait and learned that the fish were only interested in salmon peach and hatchery formula. There was one fisherman nearby who, initially, was catching the occasional trout on night crawlers that shared their hook with one power bait egg, probably for floatation. As I left with the hope of locating more coffee, he was switching to Power bait. The fish caught there were all in the slot, so a grand time was had by all parties. There is generation scheduled at 11 AM., so if you do not get out early, fishing from the bank will be a challenge until about 5:30 PM.Generation is slated from 11 AM through 4 PM at 44% of capacity. The high temperature for today is supposed to hit 87 degrees F., under partly cloudy skies, with southwesterly winds of 6 MPH. Get out and enjoy what is left of the July 4th weekend!
