DSC_0032    Fished with a friend this morning at one of our special spots on the river and, in spite of the warmer downstream waters, did good. The trout were pretty choosy and ignored chartreuse, white, rainbow, and garlic. Admittedly, the bite was somewhat slow and very soft, about every 10 to 12 minutes. If it was not for the ultralight rods, we may not have noticed the bite, at all! In addition to the 'soft' trout bite, there seem to have been some pretty small fish toying around by nibbling off the bait without moving the rod tip. The only way we noticed this was that the line would barely move in one direction or the other. We would reel up and find only a small portion of the power bait paste left on the hook! However the morning was very nice and the results were good in the fish department. If not for the fact that we ran out of coffee, we would have filled the stringer a bit more! There is generation scheduled from 4 through 6 PM. at 88% of capacity. The high temperature predicted for today is 94 degrees F., under mostly sunny skies with SSW winds of 5 MPH. It's another great day to fish in the Ozarks!
