Launched this morning at Houseman Access and moved upstream to the Spider Creek area, where the water temperature was 47 degrees F. Picked up a few trout there and moved back down river to check out a few more fishing spots. Yes, this morning was a 'homework' trip to find where the trout were active. Ended up checking four locations in the tail-waters and one downstream from them. Two of the five were pretty productive. One was near Spider Creek Island and the other was out of the tail-waters. The bite at each location was on yellow, orange and salmon peach. We had no satisfactory results with rainbow, white or nymph grape. The early morning was perfect for fishing but as the sun rose higher, the temperature followed suit. Be sure to stay hydrated while you are busy 'cranking in' fish.Generation is scheduled from 3 PM through 7 PM. The weather forecast is for a high temperature of 90 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with winds from the south at 9 MPH.

Homework's done.
