Launched at Houseman Access at 6:30 this morning and took a friend along to help with our research for the day. We noted that the water temperature was 47.6 degrees F., a decent trout temperature. We trolled downstream, both to try out some new lures that looked promising, and to see how far down river yesterday's generation had pushed the warm water. The lures we tried produced nothing, and the warm water was pushed about 2 miles downstream. Moved back upstream and changed to fishing with bait. The fish were pretty receptive to rainbow and orange. We finished up our trip at 9:30 AM and headed to the house for a GREAT brunch. Good company, good food and oops, there goes the diet! The generation schedule indicated that the water will begin moving at 3 PM and continue until 7. If you want to get a piece of the fishing action from the bank, one may want to keep the proposed generation times in mind. The weather is expected to bring us a high temperature of 91 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with southerly winds of 3 MPH. Hope you find time to spend fishing.
