This morning, Sam and I fished at Houseman Access launch ramp with the intention of checking the bite while sipping on a cup. The trout were in the slow mode, but were biting on rainbow and garlic power bait paste, and on red with yellow power bait eggs. We were fishing alongside of another fisherman who appeared to be using yellow eggs, and who caught one trout before leaving. After several catch and release fish, and running out of coffee, we decided to call it a morning and, at about 8:55, we left. Tomorrow, we plan on moving our research downstream to the Holiday Island area to see what might be biting there. We will try to keep you up to date in the next fishing report. We did not fish in any other location today, since the status on areas mentioned in previous reports seems to be pretty static. One place that seemed to be ignored is the gravel bar downstream from the damaged Beaver Dam launch ramp. Yesterday, the trout were very active, but no one else was there to help them out of their dilemma. As I may have mentioned in the report of yesterday, the trout were most active all the way downstream at the end of the gravel bar. Go get 'em!There is generation scheduled from 3 through 6 PM. The weather forecast calls for a high temperature of 82 degrees F. under sunny skies with winds from the east at 3 MPH.
