Yesterday, Sam and I, along with a friend, John, launched at Houseman Access and tried to fish some eddies during generation. The results were not what we were used to, but we did catch fish, and all of them were slots. We tried trolling on the way back in and, although we had several strikes, we did not put any on board.Today, we fished downstream from Bertrand and, within 40 minutes had caught somewhere around 15 fish. We were testing the new baits that we had mentioned in our last report. There were others fishing near us who had a couple of fish on their stringers, but they did not catch any additional fish while we were there. Hmm? Hope we weren't their bad luck charm! Ha! Looks like it is going to be a great fishing weekend. There is no generation scheduled for the weekend. The weather tomorrow is predicted to bring us a high temperature of 59 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with winds from the SW at 9 MPH gusting to 20. Go fish!
