Fishing report for 3-25-14 Fished today using spoons only, and did pretty good. The fish seemed to prefer gold, so we threw blue on gold. (A helpful young man helped me show off the fish in the attached picture.) The water temperature at Houseman was 46 degrees F., and the trout appear to be abundant. Fished for walleye last night from Houseman to the Hwy 62 bridge, but only marked walleye downstream from Houseman Access. We did notice that just before dark, the trout were all over the river having a goodnight snack. The good news is that there is some bait in the area, so you know what will be coming to get them! Folks in the Holiday Island area are running into the occasional school of white bass. I would try for them early in the morning or just before dark. Today, generating happened from 7 through 10 AM and is expected to resume at 8 and 9 PM at 44% of capacity. The weather prediction calls for a high temperature od 55 degrees F. under cloudy skies with winds from the SSE at 12 MPH. There may be rain beginning around 5 PM. Rain? Who cares when you could get a walleye? Go fish!
