Launched Sunday morning at Houseman Access and trolled upstream trying for walleye or trout. No walleye hit, but, in spite of the generation, the trout made their presence known. Fishing was tough due to the generation, but we managed to come out OK. The youngest in the group, 9 yrs old, set the bar for the rest of those fishing. Everyone had a nice day and went home with a trout dinner in the offing.Today, both boats launched at Houseman, one going up river and the other heading toward Beaver Town. The upriver boat trolled as far as the HWY 62 bridge without disturbing the fish population. Stopped above the bridge and found some lonely trout who came on board to keep us company. Several had to be returned to the river since the discrimination of the 'slot' requirements kept them from joining the party. The largest trout caught was 18 5/8 inches and weighed 3.2 pounds. Nice fish that gave the lady angler a time on the ultralight equipment. High temperature for the day is expected to hit 81º F., under sunny skies with light winds. Generation is to occur all day long and then some. Hope you can out to enjoy the fishing and the sunshine!
