Launched at Houseman Access at 7 AM and moved up river to get some bait fishing in before the water began to move. Of course, the generation began an hour before scheduled, so we decided to troll and see what we could come up with until the generation was complete. We already had caught 5, of which two were slots and released. Tried one more spot on the way out of the tail-waters and put a couple more trout in the live well. Once downstream from Houseman, began trolling with a couple of black on silver Rapalas. Did not do very well moving down river, but when we turned and began moving back upstream, we caught a couple of nice trout and one 19 1/2 inch walleye. Trolled all the way back to an area about 1/2 mile from the Hwy 62 bridge, where we changed back to bait fishing. When the water finally ceased moving, we finished up our limit and headed back to dry land and lunch! Several other boats were out enjoying the sunny afternoon. Hope you were out there, too.Generation was scheduled for one hour this morning, (RIGHT!). The high temperature was expected to be 68 degrees F. under sunny afternoon skies with winds from the NE at 4 MPH, gusting to 9. Tomorrow, there is no generation scheduled. The temperature is expected to be a bit cooler with a high of 59 degrees F. under cloudy skies with winds from the ENE at 8 MPH, gusting to 14. Hope you get the chance to get out and have fun on the beautiful White River.
