Got out early this Sunday morning and tried for a walleye from the bank at Parker Bend. After working the shore for a good while with no success, moved to White Bass Cove and tried a bit more. Decided to give it up for the time being and moved to Bertrand Launch Ramp to pick up some rainbows. While a couple of us were sitting on the rocks just up river from the ramp, 5 walleye swam by to tell us "Good morning!". Guess I was fishing in the wrong place earlier! As you can tell from the photo, Terri had a pretty good morning. The trout were biting on yellow power bait. The bite was somewhat slow at the ramp, but was MUCH better downstream towards Spider Creek. If you decide to try your luck there, be sure to wear your waterproof boots, since the water continues to come up. Fifteen inch boots should insure that you stay dry. Pretty soon, the area downstream from the ramp will be accessible only by boat. There is no generation scheduled for today, so try to get out and drag in a few fish!Monday, generation at 88% of capacity is scheduled from 7 through 9 AM and at 8 PM. The prediction calls for a high temperature of 71 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with winds from the SW at 6 MPH, gusting to 10.
