Launched at 6:30 this morning at Houseman Access and proceeded downstream to a likely spot to pick up a few rainbows before trolling for the larger prey. Put eight nice rainbows in the live well and changed into our 'troll mode.’ The water temperature was in the mid-forties almost all the way to Beaver. We marked no bait and only the occasional walleye. What a change from last week! Along the way, we did pick up the rest of our limit in trout. We then paid a quick visit to the Blue Springs area to show off the view. There was a guide boat in the overflow basin enjoying both the view and the fishing. This morning, the fish bit on cheese and fluorescent orange bait, and on Rapala scatter raps, black on silver, # 7s. We had a wonderful trip on the river in picture perfect weather. Hope you got out to enjoy it!There is generation scheduled from 2 PM through 7 PM. The high temperature today should peak out at 88 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with 6 MPH winds from the NW.
