Launched two boats at 7 AM and, initially, proceeded in different directions, Sam up river and me. downstream. The water temperature at Houseman Access was 65 degrees F., a great improvement over yesterday’s 78. The trout were of the same mind and came aboard to tell us. Sam did not spend very much time in the tailwaters; and we fished fairly close to one another. As the pictures show, the morning was not only beautiful, but the trout added a dimension of even more fun. Today’s photos are so nice that we will share more of them tomorrow. There is a bit of debris on the river surface, but it did not hamper trolling too much. We caught roughly 1/2 of the trout trolling and the other on bait. Colors that worked included yellow, chunky cheese and rainbow. Chunky cheese worked best! Lures that 'scored' were Rapala scatter raps, black on gold and deep-diving crawdad colored number 9s.There is generation slated to occur from 2 PM through 7 PM., at 44% of capacity. The high temperature today is expected to be 80 degrees F., under partly sunny skies with northerly winds of 7 MPH. It promises to continue to be a GREAT weekend to be on the water fishing.
