We put in at Houseman Access at 6 AM and decided to go downstream to check the bite. The water temperature at Houseman was 77 degrees F. and rose to 78.8 about a mile down river. Although lots of white bass were marked, not one wanted what we were feeding them. Instead, much to our surprise, rainbows were anxious to make our acquaintance. We, on the other hand, sent them back into the 'sauna'. Marked quite a bit of bait and some large fish hanging around those schools. It turned out to be a very nice morning, and promises to follow up with a great afternoon. It is time to go on the river and try your luck. Generation is scheduled for 4 hours this afternoon. From 3 thru 4 PM, generation is to be at 44% of capacity, increasing to 88% for the last two hours. The weather today is expected to give us a high temperature of 87 degrees F. under partly cloudy skies with winds from the south at 12 MPH. Sounds like summer is about to hit us!
