Began fishing early this morning at Parker Bend and found that everyone fishing was being snubbed by the trout. Noticed that only one fisherman had caught a trout earlier and had not had a bite since. Tried getting fish attention by throwing a spoon, but there was nothing doing. With one exception, everyone on site was using yellow power bait eggs. The exception was a Texan who was using yellow paste bait. He had had a couple of bites, but no 'deal closings.' Moved to Houseman Access around 7:45 and fished out of the tail-waters. Caught 5 and only kept three for lunch. The water began to 'back-flush' which raised the temperature of the water down deep. The trout decided to move upstream with the cooler water, and the bite at Houseman ceased. Lesson to be learned: if you want to fish Houseman, begin early. Also, make sure that there was a good spurt of generation the previous evening, which makes your odds for success improve greatly. The trout bit on yellow, salmon peach and rainbow power bait.Generation is scheduled to take place today from 3 through 7 PM. 4,5 and 6 PM the generation is slated to be 88% of capacity while the first and last hours are to be at 44%. The high temperature today is expected to reach 88 degrees F., under partly sunny skies with winds from the S, moving to the SSW this afternoon, at 7 MPH. There is a chance of thundershowers this afternoon. Go Fish!
