This morning we fished about half way between the Houseman Access launch ramp and the Hwy 62 bridge. Arrived at our 'target' site at 6:45 and fished with both lures and power bait. The bite was best on orange power bait, although yellow. rainbow and chartreuse also worked. Decided to troll back to Houseman, first pulling spoons, then switching to a Rapala CD-7, black on silver. We came up empty for our trolling efforts. We did pass a couple of fishermen who seemed to be doing OK by casting in toward the bank instead of trying in the middle of the river. We pulled out at Houseman at 9 AM, and tended to more of that, (UGH!), personal business. The generation schedule calls for water to move from 2 through 7 PM. The weather prediction calls for a high temperature of 97 humid degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with winds from the SSE at 8 MPH.
