Yesterday morning, launched at Houseman Access and proceeded downstream towards Beaver to see what was happening on the white bass scene. The water temperature for the next mile was 46 degrees F., a bit too chilly for the hoards of whites that are soon to make their way up river to spawn. Drat! Marked quite a few walleye on the bottom, but they did not go for the Rapalas that I was trying to feed them. The trout, however, were a different story. Want whites? Try between Holiday Island and Beaver for the next week. The high temperature predicted for today is 69 degrees F., with lots of clouds and rain scattered throughout the day. The winds are to be from the NNW about 7 to 12 MPH. (7 MPH in the morning picking up to 12 in the afternoon). Take some rain gear and go try your luck!
