Fished in the tail-waters around Parker Bend and found that the trout bite, which had been so quick yesterday, had slowed quite a bit. Began fishing at 6:30 AM and finished at 9:15, for a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes. In that time, only 7 trout were caught, making the average time between fish 23.5 minutes. They were biting on yellow and occasionally, on rainbow power bait. We are betting that the bite improves as the sun finally pops above the trees and hits the river. Most fish were caught between 6:30 and 7:45, when the surface activity was at its peak. The morning was foggy and cool, resulting in a perfect fishing/coffee-drinking situation. Parker seemed to be fairly packed with fishermen who were having fun chasing the elusive trout while, at the same time, reducing stress. There is one hour of generation scheduled for 2 PM at 44% of capacity. The weather forecast calls for a high temperature of 89 degrees F. under partly cloudy skies with southerly winds of 2 MPH. There is a chance of thundershowers around 3 PM.
