Launched at Houseman Access at 7 AM and decided to go down river to check the bite. From Houseman to a bit over a mile downstream the water temperature ranged from 49 to 56 degrees F. The trout were hitting Rapalas; and. if you were in the mood to bait fish, they were biting on cheese, fluorescent orange and rainbow. Since the bite was a little slow, some patience was required on the part of the fisherman. The fish caught ranged in length from 13 1/2 to 14 3/4 inches. From this time of the year until the sun takes a heat break, early in the morning has become my favorite time to fish. Be sure to take water along on the trip. The generation schedule for tomorrow had not been posted at the time of this report. The high temperature predicted for tomorrow is 93 degrees F., under mostly sunny skies with winds from the SSW at 4 MPH, gusting to 6. Have fun and stay hydrated.
