We fished Tuesday, Wednesday and this morning in various locations along the river. Tuesday, we fished on the river downstream from Houseman Access and found no bait in the river until about 1 mile downstream toward Beaver. We did catch trout on a Rapala CD-5, black on silver. Wednesday. seemingly out of nowhere, the bait arrived along with a mess of white bass. They were concentrated close to Blue Springs, and our friend Carl, (also a guide), showed everyone 'how it is done.’ (See picture) While Carl was fishing near Houseman Access, Sam and I fished closer to Beaver Dam and caught trout that were in the 12 1/2 inch range. The bite was on the lighter colors and was a bit slower than it had been earlier in the week. Today, we put the bait aside and fished with Colorado 1/4 oz. spoons. Although we did not pick up trout, we did catch a walleye at the "River Access 1" ramp near Beaver Dam. Looks like a perfect day to try your luck; but keep in mind that generation is scheduled from 3 through 5 PM.The high temperature for today is predicted to be a wonderful 74º F. under mostly sunny skies, with NNW winds at 10 MPH.
