Today, Sam launched at Houseman Access at 7 AM on this beautiful Ozark morning, and with a very nice couple aboard, headed up river to catch some trout. Based on the results of yesterday’s 'research trip,' he determined to troll upstream to see if the whites were still in play. They were there and one came aboard to add to the final fish fillet count. Because this couple primarily wanted to trout fish, no more time was spent trolling for whites. We spent the rest of the morning catching our limit of trout on Power Bait. The results of the trip are in the attached picture, which, I am, told is worth a thousand words. The trip ended just as the wind came up. Timing!Yesterday, we wanted to see if the whites were in the area like they were on Wednesday when they were all the way up to Spider Creek Island. The bait that was so prevalent Wednesday had gone back down river leaving only a very few small schools of whites between Houseman and Spider Creek. We did manage to pick up a couple of very nice sized males down river from Houseman and 7 trout, one of which we kept since it fell into the live well when being released. Oh well, it made a good lunch today. There is no generation scheduled for today. The high temperature for tomorrow is supposed to be 79º F., a full 6 degrees higher than today. The winds should be southerly at 5 MPH. What a great Saturday on tap! Hope to see you out fishing.
