Sam and I grabbed our fishing gear and headed out to fish the morning away up river toward the Beaver Dam. What a great morning to be sitting in the sunshine catching trout! We were happy that the bite was a little slower than usual since we had more time to bask in the wonderful spring weather. The bite was not bad, as you can tell by the photo. The trout were biting on salmon peach, yellow, rainbow, chunky cheese and garlic. Fluorescent orange was not their favorite color; in fact, they did their best to ignore that which was on our hooks. Although there were very few fishermen out and about this morning, perhaps more folks tried their luck this afternoon in the 63º weather.Tomorrow morning, Sam and I will be out with a friend, Tom, on his boat to try for whites, walleye and, of course, trout. We will launch somewhere around 10 AM. Hope you get the chance to try your luck, too. Generation tomorrow is scheduled from 7 through 9 AM as well as a couple of hours after 7 PM. The high temperature tomorrow is predicted to hit 63º F., but under mostly cloudy skies. Winds are going to be from the ESE at 5 MPH, gusting to 7. WOW, do I detect cases of the 'fishing flu' in someone’s future? Ha!
