Launched this morning at 7:15 and proceeded downstream to try our luck out of the tailwaters. The water was only moving about 2 knots which was not too bad for trolling. We trolled for an hour or so later in the trip and caught a trout to finish our the limit. Earlier, we bait fished and caught some really nice fish. The bite on bait stopped around 8:30. Prior to that, the trout were biting on salmon peach and chunky cheese while totally ignoring fluorescent orange, rainbow and yellow. There was only one other guide boat out that we saw; and he was trolling downstream from the Blue Springs area. We made the correct choice fishing out of the tailwaters, since most of the fish caught would have been in the ‘slot.’ Tomorrow looks like another day fishing during generation. Looking forward to finding the larger relatives of those trout we put on-board this morning! As written in the report of 10-24, the generation is scheduled for 24 hrs/day through Monday, the 26th. High today should be 64 degrees F. under mostly cloudy skies. Winds are from the ENE at 7 MPH. Go out and have fun!
