Sam and I checked a couple of locations below Beaver Dam to see how the Columbus Day fishermen were faring. They were out in quantity and enjoying the morning. The trout were not aware that this was a holiday, or maybe they did. The bite was slow, but was enough to keep everyone on their toes. That is, except for the bite at the Bertrand ramp, where it was VERY slow. We moved downstream from the ramp and did find out here the trout were biting. They bit on salmon peach and yellow. We did not check the bite at Parker Bend, so maybe tomorrow that will be on the agenda.Generation is presently in gear through 7 PM. Tomorrow, generation is scheduled from1 through 6 PM. The high temperature for today is expected to reach 75 degrees F. under mostly sunny skies with winds from the WNW at 2 MPH.
