Once again Sam and I fished in mid-afternoon instead of during 'prime' hours. We parked in the lot at the launch ramp closest to Beaver Dam. We avoided the ramp and parts down river from there, ie, the gravel bar. Instead, we moved upstream, closer to the dam. We tried 8 different colors and caught trout on 7 of them. The colors that paid off for us were yellow, salmon peach, garlic, fluorescent orange, rainbow, salmon egg red and chunky cheese. The color that did not attract a bite was fluorescent red. Go figure! The closed off areas mentioned in the report posted yesterday remain off limits to traffic. Damage to the lot closest to Beaver Dam is extensive to the portion closest to the walkway. The chain link fence marking the line where one may not approach the dam is washed out. We did not check Parker Bend for fish bite. Tomorrow promises to be another good day to fish. Bring some wet weather gear just in case. The high temperature tomorrow is expected to reach 55º F. Generation is slated to happen between 7 through 9 AM and skies will be cloudy with a chance of showers in the early AM and late afternoon. Winds will be from the WSW at 12 MPH, gusting to 17.
