Fished at a spot between Bertrand launch ramp and Spider Creek. The trout were very active on the surface and were not doing too badly underneath, either! They were a little picky, though. We threw five different colors of power bait at them, and they only bit on two, yellow and fluorescent red. Of those two, they seemed to like the red best. The catch ratio between the two was four to one. There were a few other fishermen on scene, four of whom were fishing at the ramp. One of the characters thought that the ramp was his personal parking spot. Hmmm, too bad all of us are not as special! Today is probably the best day to be out there fishing this week, as the weather conditions are expected to go 'north' on us. The weather prediction calls for a high temperature tomorrow of 26 degrees F. under cloudy skies with winds from the north at 14 MPH, gusting to 24. The next day that is expected to be above freezing is Sunday. Hope you got to go out today and wet a line!
