Fished near Spider Creek beginning about 2:30 PM. The trout bit on yellow, salmon peach and fluorescent orange, while totally ignoring white. The day was pretty chilly in the wind, but the fishing was good enough to keep one’s mind on reeling in the catch. Today was a catch and release day, so both the trout and I were content at the end of the afternoon. The river is very low, so if you are planning on coming up river from Houseman Access, plan on pulling the boat in several areas, beginning just below the Hwy 62 bridge. Heck, if you want to fish that far up river, launch at Bertrand! Expect tomorrow to be a little cooler than today. There is generation scheduled from 7 through 8 AM and from 6 through 8 PM tomorrow, at 88% of capacity. The weather forecast for tomorrow calls for a high temperature of 43 degrees F. under partly cloudy skies with winds from the ESE at 4 MPH, gusting to 6. Dress warm and have fun!
