Fished with a friend, Jorge, and had a pretty good afternoon, as the picture shows. Note the male walleye hanging in there with the trout. He bit power bait paste on a #16 hook. That is a first for me! We fished at Parker Bend about 150 yards downriver from the ramps and found that the bite was very slow. Moved to the area of the gravel bar close to the unnamed launch ramp closest to the Beaver Dam. (Ken, Carl and I, all guides, have decided to call that ramp 'River Access 1,’ so keep that in mind for future fishing reports). I digress. Jorge and I moved closer to the dam to get out of the wind. The trout were ready to bite! There were a couple of other fisher-folks nearby who appeared to be doing ...... OK. They were still there when we left. Tomorrow will be about 8 degrees cooler with the same speed winds, so dress warmly!Generation for tomorrow is slated from 7 through 9 AM. and PM. The high temperature should be 42º F. under sunny skies. Winds will be from the east at 7 MPH., gusting to 9.
