Launched at Houseman Access this morning about 11 AM and trolled downstream with a CD-7, black on silver Rapala. The result, after about 10 minutes, is the subject of the picture below! Later, I moved up river towards the Hwy 62 bridge and fished with power bait to see if the bite was still 'on'. The trout bit on yellow and salmon peach until about 12:30. Although I did not hear it, the "quit biting' alarm must have sounded, since they abruptly ceased feeding on power bait. Tried several locations up and down the river until about 2:30, then headed for the ramp. The only two other boats I met on the river packed it up and left half an hour before me. The wind was a bit chilly, but the fishing was well worth the slight inconvenience. Tomorrow is predicted to be a bit cooler than today, so dress warmly. There is no generation on tap for tomorrow. The weather prediction calls for a high temperature of 38 chilly degrees F., under cloudy and sometimes snowy skies with winds from the WNW at 14 MPH, gusting to 25.
