Fished downstream from Parker Bend ramps at 6:30 this morning. The trout were very active, gracing us with 15 fish in 40 minutes. We kept out limit of ten and scooted home when the fishermen population grew to the extent that the parking lot was filled. Not that everyone on scene was not good company, but they seemed to be waiting for us to leave our spots for them. Before leaving, we passed on what we were using that was working for us. That would be salmon peach, spring green, rainbow, orange, yellow and chartreuse. Once again, red-white-blue and white did not elicit a bite. We caught the first fish using a blue on silver Little Cleo, then switched to bait. We tested a new fishing method that was interesting, but not too productive. If we work out the 'bugs', we will bring you up to speed. The overcast sky should make the day very tolerable for fishing, even though the high temperature is expected to go into the 90s.Generation is slated to take place from 7 to 8 PM at 44% of capacity. The winds are predicted to be from the SSW at 9 MPH. Just another great Ozarks day to be fishing!
