Fished downstream from the tail-waters this morning at 6:30. The water temperature at the surface was 54 degrees F., which made us believe that the trout were hanging around. Tried yellow to begin with and found that, although they were slow to bite, they were good with that color. Turned out that the bite was about every 10 minutes on rainbow and orange as well as yellow. We tried power bait eggs and had success using yellow and red on a #14 octopus hook. Once again, business interrupted fun, and we had to head back to the fishing shack. The cool and clear morning reminded us that Fall is just around the corner, and that we need to be thinking of a larger coffee thermos! There is only one hour of generation scheduled at 7 PM at 22% of capacity. No excuse for not going out and trying to catch your limit while enjoying the day.The weather is predicted to give us a high temperature of 83 degrees F. under sunny skies with easterly winds of 3 MPH.
