Launched at Houseman at 11:30 AM and proceeded to Holiday Island to seek out the whites. Found a few whites and several large balls of bait. Noted that there were some walleye down deep between the Holiday Island Marina entrance and the first upstream curve. Moved upriver to the Beaver area and found some hungry whites. We had fun hauling some of those in, along with a couple of trout, as you can see in the photo. Thought we would look further upstream for walleye but struck out on that plan. Turns out that the generating schedule posted for today was totally wrong. The generation was in full swing at 5 PM. I do believe that the Corps of Engineers changed its original schedule. Caught the white bass on Rapalas. Seems that CDs, Fs and Xraps worked equally well. Tomorrow's scheduled generation calls for 88% capacity for the entire 24 hour period. At least we will not be surprised! The weather for tomorrow calls for partly sunny skies with a chance of rain throughout the afternoon. High temperature is predicted to reach 56 degrees F. with winds from the NW at anywhere from 11 to 18 MPH. Hope you get some of those whites!
