Launched at Bertrand Launch Ramp at 6 AM and proceeded downstream to a spot where we frequently bait fish. Although the bite was a little slower than what we are used to, we put 8 in the boat and released two 'slots' and two that were too small to keep. Decided that we would like to troll for larger fish, as well as a white or two. Ha! There were no whites marked on the Lowrance, but a walleye made up for it. Unfortunately, it was not a keeper since it was under 18 inches, but was a fun catch. Picked up a few trout on the way to Houseman Access where we pulled out at 10:30, just as the heat was beginning to make its presence known. As you can see in the picture, the guide picked up a couple of trout for his lunch. Yum, Yum! The youngest among us showed us how it is done. Not only did she catch plenty of fish, she wanted to learn how to clean her own, which the guide was pleased to accommodate What a girl! Enough said!Generation on Saturday is slated to start at 5 PM with a start and stop schedule. The high temperature for the day should hit 91º F. and we are no longer under a heat advisory.
